Every night is different, we love firing up the grill and BBQing everything from fish to hamburgers and even a nice big juicy steak once a week. What goes better with grilled foods than onion rings? Bacon wrapped onion rings dipped in chocolate, of course! Bacon wrapped chocolate dipped onion rings are a great appetizer to kick off your BBQ party and show your guests that you go above and beyond when it comes to quality, flavor and style!

Stuffed BBQ Hamburgers

Whether you’re having a family barbecue or throwing a party for your boss, employees or your whole company, you need to pull out all the stops — and not waste time doing so!

That’s where Alexia Crispy Onion Rings come in. They’re already made, frozen and ready to be wrapped in bacon. Fire up the grill, wrap bacon around the onion rings, toss them in a pan and get barbecuing! The sweet and salty flavor, combined with the crispiness of the Alexia All Natural Crispy Onion Rings are irresistible! You won’t have any left when your guests leave, that’s for sure!

Alexia Crispy Rosemary Fries and Sea Salt, Alexia Spicy Sweet Potato Fries and Alexia Crispy Onion Rings

While we were shopping at Walmart we also picked up the new Alexia Crispy Rosemary Fries and Sea Salt as well as the Alexia Spicy Sweet Potato fries. All three of these products are made with all natural ingredients which makes them a great, healthier option than some of the junk that’s out there!

Using bacon from organic farms can be better for you, and it just tastes better than some of the bacon that is loaded with other, un-natural ingredients. Plus, it pairs exceptionally well with the Alexia Crispy Onion Rings which are made with all natural ingredients. Using organic bacon combined with the all natural Alexia products give you a healthier option for your grilling experience! Use your favorite all natural chocolate to plunge your onion rings into and you’ve got a party for your taste buds!

Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings

How’s it done? It’s exactly how it looks, wrap the onion rings in bacon and they’re ready to go! All you need to do is preheat the grill (about 400 degrees is good) and prepare your pan.

To make bacon wrapped chocolate dipped onion rings on the grill we like to use a piece of tinfoil inside an aluminum pan. You don’t want to put bacon directly on the grill – the flames from the drippings would be unreal! Cut a piece of tinfoil that will fit nicely inside the bottom of the pan, crinkly it up, smooth it out a little bit and lay it in the bottom of the pan. Now you’re ready to toss your bacon wrapped onion rings in.

Once the grill is preheated and the rings are ready to BBQ, put the pan on the grill, close the lid and BBQ for about 20-25 minutes. We did 25 minutes, flipping the bacon wrapped onion rings at 11 minutes and 22 minutes. On your BBQ grill, cook the onion rings until the bacon is cooked to your preference, we like ours fairly crispy!

It’s important, especially if you’re going to use pre-made frozen onion rings that you use a quality onion ring, such as Alexia Crispy Onion Rings – otherwise you’ll have soggy, flimsy onion rings that will fall apart when you pick them up with your tongs – you wont be able to take out of the pan. Trust me, you don’t want that, just use the Alexia brand products!

You can most certainly enjoy the bacon wrapped onion rings without dipping them in chocolate. However, to get the full experience, I recommend dipping them in chocolate – they are absolutely AH-MAZING! Melt your favorite chocolate and dip away. The sweet and salty flavor combination is so good, you may forget to leave room for dinner!
