Are you ready for tasty tailgating sliders? They’re real easy to do.
BBQ Sauce
First, you’ll want to whip up this delicious Bud Light Lime BBQ Sauce, no cooking for this sauce.
It takes about 3 minutes to make. No, not nearly as fast as a pit crew can change all four tires, but close enough – right? Make it while your Smithfield Extra Tender Pork St Louis Style Ribs are on the grill.
Cooking the ribs is real easy to do. Champion pitmasters use Smithfield Fresh Pork in competitions and on their backyard grill because they know it’s easy to make Smithfield ribs any night of the week.
Whether a weeknight meal or a weekend barbecue, these ribs are perfect!
You can prepare everything before your guests arrive to watch the race.
Cook the ribs, pull the meat off the bones, prepare your coleslaw, chill the beers, make the BBQ sauce etc… You know the drill!
BBQ Rib Sliders
Ingredients
- 2 racks Smithfield Extra Tender Pork St Louis Style Ribs
- Bud Light Lime BBQ Sauce
Grilling St. Louis Style Ribs
To make these sliders fire up the grill to about 350 degrees F. and keep it this hot throughout the cook.
If the temp swings a little bit, no biggie. Oil your grates and toss a couple of racks of Smithfield Extra Tender Pork St Louis Style Ribs on the grill bone side down.
Cook them for about 30 minutes, check the temp between the bones in the thick part of the meat, look for 190 degrees F.
Once the ribs hit 190 degrees F., flip them over and cook them meat side down for about 10 minutes.
Add BBQ sauce to each side of the ribs and cook them for a few minutes on each side before removing from the grill.
Make the Sliders
Once your ribs are done, let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing up.
Cut between the bones…
Then pull the meat off the bones with your hands.
Yup, this is the messy part!
Add a pile of rib meat to your slider buns, top with cheese, coleslaw, and drizzle with Bud Light Lime BBQ sauce.
Tip: A quarter slice of cheese works perfectly for sliders!
Dig in!
You’d better make sure to grab at least two racks of ribs while you’re at Walmart – seriously, plan on everyone wanting at least a few sliders, and coming back for more!
