Steps to Make Mouthwatering Charcuterie Board

Honestly, preparing a charcuterie board is so simple, but I have divided the entire recipe into different steps so you don’t get confused.

Charcuterie Board

Step One

Step one is about the veggies and fruits you can add to your charcuterie board. Start the process by taking a few cherry tomatoes. Ensure that you properly wash the tomatoes so all the dirt can be removed.

After cleaning the cherry tomatoes, you can either use them as a whole or cut them in half. A secret trick of quickly cutting cherry tomatoes is laying them on a plate. Then cover them using a lid and cut all the tomatoes using a knife. This trick helps you cut around 10-15 cherry tomatoes at once.

Next, you need properly washed olives. If you like to eat your olives without cutting, you can use them or cut them into small circular bite-sized shapes.

Step Two

Take a mini salami and wash it properly. Along with mini salami, you can also take normal size salami to make your charcuterie board taste delicious. Cut the salami into small pieces and keep it aside.

You need 10 oz of parmesan cheese, properly diced into bite-size pieces. Besides cheese and salami, you can add a few more ingredients to make the charcuterie board flavorful. Additional ingredients include raspberry jam, crackers, orange jam, fresh mozzarella cheese, mortadella, and ham.

Key Notes:

  • If you do not have parmesan cheese or mozzarella cheese, you can replace it with blue cheese, Havarti, smoked gouda, or herbed Boursin.
  • Best meat for charcuterie boards includes mortadella, soppressata, or calabrese.
  • If you want to add more veggies and fruits to your charcuterie board, consider including dried fruits, sweety drop peppers, and grapes.
  • If you want your charcuterie board to look nice, start by adding cheese (make sure that you have taken the cheese out of the refrigerator). Then add all your greens, followed by meat and crackers.

What to Eat with a Charcuterie Board?

You can also serve drinks if you are serving charcuterie boards to your guests or family members. Don’t forget to add dips for crackers and meat.

What Makes Charcuterie Board Appetizing?

You can make your charcuterie board appetizing by adding 3-4 types of meat and cheese. Crackers and fruits should be secondary.

Do You Have to Make Homemade Recipes for Charcuterie Board?

If you have time, you can use marinated olives. But if you are short on time, you can use all the store-bought ingredients to make a delicious charcuterie board.

Can You Make Charcuterie Board Ahead of Time?

It’s not advised to make charcuterie boards ahead of time as the ingredients will not taste good if they are sitting uncovered for a long time. If you want the charcuterie board to taste fresh, try to prepare it as close to serving time as possible.
