Just remember the number 1. There are four ingredients in our peanut butter cookie recipe and each one contains a 1 measurement. 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 tbs honey and 1 egg. Really, it’s that simple!

Because we’re only using four ingredients to make these, you don’t even need brown sugar. And don’t worry, they’ll taste just as great!

So whether you need a quick bake sale or cookie swap recipe, or you’re gearing up for a holiday event. This easy peanut butter cookie recipe will work perfectly!

Peanut Butter Cookies Without Baking Soda

You don’t need any baking soda for these either. The peanut butter cookies Better Crocker makes might need baking soda and brown sugar, but not here! We don’t need all those ingredients to make delicious sweets.

Peanut Butter Buckeyes Recipe

Ingredients

  • Peanut butter
  • Sugar (+ sugar to spinkle on top)
  • Honey
  • Egg

Directions

Mix all the ingredients together until smooth. Then roll the dough into 1.5 inch balls before pressing them with a fork to make the criss-cross pattern you love in old fashioned peanut butter cookies.

Bake them in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

Once the edges have browned slightly, remove them from the oven and sprinkle them with more sugar. Cool for five minutes before moving them to a cooling rack. 

If they last this long, store them in an airtight container for several days.

Tip: These are awesome cookies to make a day ahead of time.

To get the most taste out of them, store them overnight in an airtight container to allow the flavors to mingle.

Easy 4 ingredient peanut butter cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar + sugar to spinkle on top
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Prepare cookie sheet with parchment paper or cooking spray
  • With your mixer, mix sugar, peanut butter, honey and egg in a medium bowl until smooth
  • Roll cookie dough into 1½ balls and place on cookie sheet
  • Flatten out each cookie and create a criss-cross pattern using a fork
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes in preheated oven
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar
  • Cool cookies on baking sheet for 5 minutes, move to cooling rack with spatula
  • Serve warm or cooled. Store in airtight container for several days
