Who loves football season? It’s the perfect time to get together with family and friends to watch the game together. But not only watch the game, you can also snack on your favourite football party snacks, like cheesecake bites.
Today we’re making football cheesecake bites with a SNICKERS® Crisper candy crust and candy topping drizzled with gooey caramel sauce!
Of course I remember growing up watching our favorite football teams duke it out on the field with their biggest rivals, and playing football was a big part of my youth as well.
Since the first day I stepped foot on the field, football has been running through my veins and the tradition continues today watching my favorite teams take the gridiron.
The best way to watch your team is with a finger food snack, like these football cheesecake bites!
These cheesecakes are a perfect addition to your football table spread or any football themed party – think birthdays, banquets, team gatherings and more.
After the chicken and nachos are gone, you’ll need something sweet to serve up – queue SNICKERS® Crisper football cheesecake bites!
Have you tried the SNICKERS® Crisper candies? They’re an awesome combination of crisped rice and peanuts topped with a layer of caramel, coated in creamy milk chocolate — and of course, you can find them right in the candy aisle at Walmart.
Now let’s get to the recipe, shall we?
Football Cheesecake Bites
First, we’ll gather the ingredients for the crust. For our football cheesecake crust, I’m using SNICKERS® Crisper candies, flour and butter.
SNICKERS® Crisper candies are a crunchy twist on a classic SNICKERS® bar and make for a delicious cookie candy crust for our cheesecake bites!
The filling is cream cheese, vanilla extract, milk, lemon juice, sugar and an egg. We’ll add more SNICKERS® crisper candies on top when we’re ready to cut the cheesecakes into footballs!
Cheesecake Candy Crust
To make the crust, grab a bowl and an electric mixer. Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar, then mix in flour and finely chopped SNICKERS® Crisper candies. Mix until you have a mixture of course crumbles.
Firmly press the mixture into a prepared 9×9 baking pan (I’m preparing with parchment and non-stick cooking spray). Bake the crust as instructed in the recipe card below.
Cheesecake Bites Filling
While the crust is baking, prepare the filling.
Set aside 5 SNICKERS® Crisper squares for toppings later. Mix together room temperature cream cheese, vanilla extract, milk, lemon juice sugar and an egg with electric mixer in a large bowl.
Tip: Beat the cream cheese and sugar before adding the liquids, this makes your cheesecake a tad creamier!
Once the crust is done baking, remove the crust from the oven and pour the mixture over the crust. Return the pan to the oven to bake the cheesecake. Once baked according to the instructions below, remove from the oven and cool completely before refrigerating. Refrigerate until firm.
When the cheesecake is firm (1 hour or more refrigerated), carefully remove it from the baking pan and place it on a cutting board. Cut the cheesecake using a football-shaped cookie cutter – or if you prefer, you can cut the football shapes with a sharp knife.
The best part is, you and your family get to snack on the leftover cheesecake bits before your guests arrive. Top the football cheesecake bites with finely chopped SNICKERS® Crisper candies and serve with a dish of caramel sauce and a drizzle stick!
