How to Make Haystack Cookies With Chow Mein Noodles

This 4 ingredient haystack cookie recipe is simple, and requires no baking! Seriously, no bake!

How awesome is that?

Chow mein noodles, peanut butter, DOVE® Milk Chocolate candies and M&M’s Easter Eggs are all you need to make this cookie recipe.

I did have some M&M’s Easter Sundae candies left over from our Easter Brownie Parfaits, so I used some of those too!

Do you call these birds nests?

I ask because I know some people call them birds nest since there are eggs in them. I see why that’s the case, but I remember them from when I was a kid as haystack – anyway, who cares?

They’re delicious! Right?!

So whatever you call them, you’ll have to try my recipe and tell me how much you love it!

You can mix it up and use any kind of M&M’s you wish, I just chose to use the eggs for our haystack cookies.

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Haystack Cookies

So now that we know what we need, how do we do it?

Remember, I told you it was easy chocolate and peanut butter haystacks?

You toss the DOVE Milk Chocolate candies and peanut butter into a microwave safe bowl and melt. I hit high on your microwave for 1 minute, stir and then 50% power for 30 seconds. This usually is all it needs to be completely melted.

You will notice some chocolate chunks still in the bowl after the second zap.

Don’t worry, continue mixing with a spoon and the heat from the mixture and bowl will melt it down.

Now that you have your chocolate mixture all combined well, toss the chow mein noodles into the bowl Stir it all together until they’re covered well.

Using a large spoon, or an ice cream scoop, create two inch diameter cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet. Press down in the center of the cookies a tiny bit and place M&M’s® Eggs in the indentations. Allow to cool and harden in the refrigerator before serving. Store them in the refrigerator as well. See, I told you it was easy!

Forget plain old chocolate chips, use the DOVE® Chocolates and be sure to stuff the haystacks with M&M’s®. And if it’s around Easter, use the M&M’s® Eggs!
