Best Way to Cook Top Sirloin Steak on the Stove

Before cooking sirloin steak, remember to remove the excess moisture so the meat cooks well and becomes juicy. You can use a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Then season the top sirloin steak well with all the spices. You can make your steak as spicy or flavorful by adding the right spices. Or you go minimal on spices with just salt and pepper to enjoy strong steak flavors.

After seasoning the sirloin tip steak, place it over a medium-heat casket-iron skillet. Add a tablespoon of hot oil so the steak does not burn.

Using a food thermometer will help you understand how much your steak has been cooked. To enjoy a rare steak, remove the meat at 125 F. For medium rare steak, cook it to 135 F. Likewise, remove it at 150 F for a well-done steak.

Once your beef loin top sirloin is cooked, transfer it to a place and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Serve and enjoy.

Key Tips:

  • Use high-quality steak because the better your steak is, the more delicious it is going to be.
  • Steaks with at least 1-inch thickness are easier to cook. Such steaks are flavorful, have a better texture, and reduce the chances of being overcooked.
  • If you have refrigerated the steak, remember to bring it to room temperature. While it’s not necessary, doing so makes the steak more flavorful.
  • Constantly moving sirloin tip side steak can ruin the flavors. So, only move the steak when it’s time to flip.
  • After cooking the steak, let it rest for a while. That’s because resting allows the steak juices to soak into the meat.
