The preparation of this utterly delicious carrot cake bar starts by chopping some walnuts. Once chopped, you can spread them on the sheet and then move to cut some raisins so that the carrot cake bars can get that nice nutty flavor. At last, you can start the preparation of the cake batter.

You can keep two separate bowls for preparing dry and wet cake batter. This way, the process will get a lot simpler and quicker. When you prepare dry and wet batter separately, you can get an accurate amount of ingredients. This will ensure your cake bar will turn out moist.

After preparing wet and dry cake ingredients, you can combine them using a spatula. Finally, you can add shredded carrots and nuts that you have chopped.

Step One: Make the Carrot Cake Bars Batter

First, you can start making the batter. For the batter, you can combine eggs, vegetable oil, brown sugar, whole milk, and granulated sugar in one bowl. Then, mix for around 3-5 minutes so that it gets smooth and no lumps remain.

You can use a toothpick to know whether or not the cake has been baked. However, if the toothpick has batter, your cake is not baked yet. But if it’s clean, the cake is baked. Also, try not to overbake the cake because then it might get that burnt taste.

Step Four: Add the Cream Cheese Glaze to the Carrot Cake Bars

After the cake is baked, you can then let it sit on the side and let it cool. Once the carrot cake comes to a certain temperature, you can cut it into bar shape and serve it with cream cheese glaze.

Make it Ahead: If you want to make your carrot cake flavorful and moist, you can bake it a day ahead. Then, cover the cake nicely, refrigerate it, and take it out when you want to eat it.

Carrot Secret: To get that fresh carrot taste, you should grate the carrots at home rather than using the market-packed grated carrot.

How Do I Store Leftover Carrot Cake Bars?

After serving the cake bar, you can store the remaining pieces in the fridge by packing it tightly inside a container. This way, your carrot cake bar will stay fresh for around 5-6 days.

Why Do My Carrot Cake Bars Taste Dry?

If you have added more flour than recommended, the cake bar might turn out dry rather than moist. To fix this thing, you can add more milk. Similarly, if the cake bar becomes too wet, you can add granulated sugar.

The secret to making a perfectly balanced carrot cake bar is to add the recommended amount of dry and wet ingredients.

Can I Use Butter Instead of Oil?

While it’s advised to use vegetable oil, you can substitute oil with butter in a carrot cake bar if you want. Either way, your cake will taste super yummy.
