What is the best way to mash potatoes?

I like to use my Kitchenaid hand mixer. But, if you don’t have one or don’t want to use it, you can use a simple potato masher instead.

Just whip them until smooth and creamy.

You don’t want to use it too much or you may lose some of the texture of the potato peels.

Can I double this recipe?

This recipe will serve 6 to 8 people. But, if you’re having a  crowd, you can easily add more potatoes as long as you have a large enough Instant Pot.

Or, you can use fewer potatoes if you don’t need to serve 6 to 8 people.

You can store your leftover Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.

To reheat them, just warm them in a small pot on the stove or in a microwavable safe dish in the microwave.

If you want to keep them for longer than 3 to 5 days, you will need to freeze them. Just place them in a freezer container. They will stay good for up to two months.

To use them another day, let them thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Then, heat them on the stove or microwave. You might need to add a bit more margarine or milk to make them creamy again.
