I know you can’t wait to try this chicken Alfredo pasta recipe. But before that, I would like to tell you an interesting story about Alfredo pasta. Alfredo Di Lelio originally invented this pasta in his mother’s restaurant in the mid-1990s.

As the pasta Alfredo recipe only included simple ingredients, i.e., butter and cheese, it quickly became popular. The cream was added to this Alfredo pasta recipe sometime later, which has further enhanced its flavors.

Today, this classic creamy Alfredo pasta dish is available in almost all restaurants and pasta cookbooks. Some available variation uses eggs, some use veggies, and others use chicken.

Cheesy Chicken Alfredo Pasta Recipe

All my childhood, I have enjoyed eating Alfredo pasta. But after I saw how it’s prepared, I realized this dish is tasty and easy to make. So now, whenever I crave a delicious bowl of pasta, I prepare it.

Do you know a secret? Alfredo sauce is my absolute favorite because it’s super easy to prepare. You only need three ingredients, butter, cream, and cheese. But I have used vegetable oil in my cream cheese parmesan cheese recipe because I like to prepare my food differently.

This delicious Alfredo pasta cheese dish has many adaptations and variations. But the way I prepare it involves minimal work and offers maximum taste. I don’t like using multiple ingredients because I believe it can bring down the original feel of Alfredo pasta.

Plus, if you have prepared spicy chicken Alfredo pasta in a large batch or have leftovers, you can easily store them in your fridge inside a ziplock bag. But try not to keep cheese pasta Alfredo for long as it can lose its flavors.

Steps to Prepare Cream Cheese Alfredo Pasta

Here’s how you can prepare cream chicken Alfredo pasta to get the right taste.

Step One:

Start preparing the best Alfredo pasta by taking a non-stick frying pan and adding vegetable oil. Once the oil gets nicely warm, you need to cook the chicken for around five minutes. Cook both sides so the chicken gets a nice flavor.

Key Notes:

  • Traditionally, Alfredo pasta was made using fettuccine. But after the dish became popular in many regions, people started using other pasta. Some common pasta used for Alfredo pasta includes rigatoni, pappardelle, macaroni, farfalle, linguine, and more.
  • If you don’t like chicken, you can make the vegetarian version of this recipe. For it, you need to saute or steam bell peppers, baby corn, asparagus, spinach, cauliflowers, mushrooms, or any other veggie of your choice.

What is the best pasta for Alfredo sauce?

The best pasta for chicken Alfredo is fettuccine because it has a wide side and thick shape to hold the creamy sauce. So, you get the maximum amount of sauce with each bite.

How can you make your Alfredo pasta taste better?

You can enhance the taste of your Alfredo pasta by adding extra spices like salt, Italian seasoning, dried basil, onion powder, and pepper.

How do you keep the sauce creamy?

If you want to keep the sauce of Alfredo pasta creamy, add a good amount of parmesan cheese. Avoid adding powder or store-grated parmesan cheese as it won’t offer the same rich, creamy taste.

But if you do not have parmesan cheese, you can use Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Pecorino Romano Cheese, Grana Padano, Pecorino, and other hard cheeses.

What to serve with Alfredo pasta?

You can serve the nicely cooked chicken with the Alfredo pasta or grilled shrimp, asparagus, bread, meatballs, bacon, or salad.

How to reheat Alfredo pasta?

To reheat Alfredo pasta, you simply need to take the pasta out of the fridge. Then add some milk or water while reheating, so the pasta does not get dry.
