New Year's Eve Butter Cookies with Chocolate Glaze
Holidays and celebrations without cookies are just plain boring. But with my fun New Year’s sugar cookies recipe, you can bring in all the fun. The recipe is simple, and the cookies are hands down delicious.

Ingredients
1/2cuppowdered sugar
1cupbutter2 sticks at room temperature
2cupsflour
Chocolate Glaze
1cuppowdered sugar
1tbs+ 1 tsp cocoa powder
1tbs+ tsp water+ up to 1 more tbs
1tspvanilla extract
Instructions
Start the process by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Then prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine butter and powdered sugar together in your mixer.
Add flour 1/2 cup to the mixer.
Combine thoroughly until cookie dough is formed in the mixer. Once this happens, stop the mixer.
Remove the dough and form a large ball with your hands.
Apply powdered sugar on the surface and roller. Properly roll the cookie dough and cut it with cookie cutters.
Place cookies on the baking tray and bake for 17 minutes. Remove the cookies when the edges turn golden brown.
Cool for 3 minutes. Add glaze and sprinkles for decoration.
Chocolate Glaze
Stir powdered sugar and cocoa powder together in a small bowl.
Mix 1 tbsp water and vanilla extract.
Combine until you have the perfect consistency for dipping the cookies.
Dip cookies halfway. Sprinkle gold and white sprinkles on it.
Place cookies on a paper towel, allowing the chocolate glaze to set.
