1/2yardscrap fabric for lining
1/2yardfusible interfacinglight or medium weight
Cut denim, fabric, and interfacing 13" x 13" (2 pieces of denim, 2 pieces of lining fabric, 4 pieces of interfacing)
Iron the interfacing to the wrong side of both pieces of your outer denim fabric and both pieces of the lining
With right sides facing, pin or clip both sides and the bottom of the outer denim fabric and the lining.
Using a 1/4” seam allowance, sew along the sides and bottom of your outer denim squares and your lining squares. Press your side seams open.
Make a box corner for both the outer denim and the lining. I have added a collage to give you photo instructions on how to do this. (see collage in post)
Turn the denim bin inside out and the lining right side out. Place the outer denim bin inside the lining, so that the right sides are together. Match up the side seams and pin or clip into place.
Sew the inner and outer bins together by going around the top. Leave a 4-5” opening for turning.
Pull the lining through the opening so the denim outer fabric and the lining are both showing the right side of the fabric. Tuck the lining into the denim and press around the opening so it is nice and sharp looking!
Top stitch your opening closed. Fold over the lining and enjoy your new bin!
